Consideradas desde 1949 (Decreto n.º 37450, 16 de junho 1949) Imóveis de Interesse Público, constituem um conjunto de sete capelas de estilo rococó, datam do século XVIII e representam um registo arquitetónico e artístico único em Portugal. O percurso efetuado pelas Capelas simboliza a Paixão de Cristo:
(1) Capela do Passo do Pretório (Interior da Igreja Matriz)
(2) Capela do Passo da Queda (Rua Alexandre Herculano)
(3) Capela do Passo do Encontro (Rua Alexandre Herculano)
(4) Capela do Passo do Cirineu (Rua Cândido dos Reis)
(5) Capela do Passo da Verónica (Praça da República)
(6) Capela do Passo das Filhas de Jerusalém (Largo Mouzinho de Albuquerque)
(7) Capela do Calvário (Largo dos Combatente)
CHAPELS OF THE STATION OF THE CROSS
Considered to be Buildings of Public Interest since 1949, these buildings are a group of seven Rococo chapels, dating to the eighteenth century and representing a unique architectural and artistic record in Portugal. The path created between the Chapels symbolises the Passion of Christ:
(1) Chapel of the Station of the Praetorium (Inside the Ovar Church)
(2) Chapel of the Station of the Fall (Rua Alexandre Herculano)
(3) Chapel of the Station of Encounter (Rua Alexandre Herculano)
(4) Chapel of the Station of Cyrenean (Rua Cândido dos Reis)
(5) Chapel of the Station of Veronica (Praça da República)
(6) Chapel of the Station of the Daughters of Jerusalem (Largo Mouzinho de Albuquerque)
(7) Calvary Chapel (Largo dos Combatentes)
