Constitui o espaço mais antigo da urbe. Entre 1695 e 1867 existiu neste local a casa e o celeiro do castelo. A praceta foi aberta em 1876 e o Chafariz Neptuno inaugurado em 1877, convertendo-se no primeiro abastecimento público de água na cidade. De gosto marcadamente clássico, o chafariz é coroado por uma estátua de Neptuno que na mão direita segura um tridente.

The oldest area of the town. Between 1695 abd 1867, the castle house and barn existed here. The square was open in 1876 and the Fountain of Neptune in 1877, becoming the town's first public water suplly. With a classic style, this fountain is crowned with a statue of Neptune that holds a trident in his right hand.
