A Ordem Terceira de S. Francisco adquiriu em 1780 uma casa, rés-de-chão, na atual Rua Gomes Freire. Originalmente destinada a guardar as alfaias da Ordem, foi ponto de depósito de muitas peças da paróquia, confraria e particulares, sendo inaugurada como Casa-Museu de Arte Sacra em 1973. Reúne um conjunto diversificado de peças de Arte Sacra, de elevado valor, datáveis entre os séculos XV e XX, grande parte espólio da Ordem Terceira de São Francisco de Assis.

MUSEUM HOUSE OF SACRED ART OF SECULAR FRANCISCAN ORDER
In 1780, the Third Order of Saint Francis acquired a house on Rua Gomes Freire. It was originally intended to house the objects of the Order, but it became a deposit for many pieces belonging to parish, confraternity and private collections, being inaugurated as a Museum-House of Sacred Art in 1973. It brings together a diverse collection of highly valuable Sacred Art Pieces, from between the fifteenth and twentieth centuries. A large part remains of the Third Order of Saint Francis.
